Together with New Urban Voices we are launching the initiative “Copenhagen, What’s Next? A New Urban Development Model for the Capital” – a series of events and knowledge-driven efforts designed to shape a new vision and practice for urban development in Copenhagen: The Copenhagen Model 2.0.

The ambition is to create a model that:

• Revisits the roots of the original Copenhagen Model’s success, particularly the 1989 report “Hovedstaden, hvad vil vi med den?” by the Stallknecht Committee

• Positions Copenhagen as a frontrunner in urban development within the context of planetary boundaries

• Contributes to solving the housing crisis through new financing models and ownership structures

• Creates long-term value for the community – economically, socially, and ecologically

• Serves as inspiration and a transferable model for other Danish and international cities
