Together With JAJA Arkitekter and Urban Studio, we have developed “Samtalecyklen” (The Conversation Bike).

The bike introduces a completely new form of citizen engagement, transforming everyday street spaces into a mobile, green community hall on wheels. Drawing on urban nature and cycling culture, and equipped with workshop facilities, the bike provides eye-catching and inviting settings for dialogue with citizens, local stakeholders, and other interested parties.

Because “Samtalecyklen” is mobile and can be parked anywhere, it offers a unique and approachable alternative to traditional public meetings. Its flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of events, formats, and target groups – from children's workshops to political debates.

When the bike is parked, the cargo area unfolds into a combined bar and seating unit with up to 12 seats, all fitting within a single parking space. At the center of the seating area stands a tree, serving as a green and welcoming focal point. The tree helps create a sense of "place" when the bike is stationary, and when it's on the move, it becomes a "rolling billboard" in the urban landscape.
